12/06/03: Matt Says... First off, let me apologize for doing two political comics in a row. Despite what you may think, I really DON'T like doing this over and over again. Nevertheless, I think it's humorous, and waiting a week would have prevented it from being timely. As for the comic itself... I never imagined that a president going to a war-zone to greet his troops on a holiday would be the subject of ridicule from his opponents. Nevertheless, many talking heads are actually making a go at it. Is there anything Bush could do short of dying that would please these people? Heck, even Alan Colmes didn't have a problem with it! Much to your relief, I'm sure, I won't bother rebutting the reasons given in the comic, as I'm sure you all can manage it on your own.
