Matt Says...

First off, many of you may or may not notice a slight change in the design of the site today. For the grand explaination, feel free to check out the short article in the new Comments section, or just access it directly. I don't forsee it presenting too many problems, though.

Now on to today's comic.

You may or may not have heard of Tim Robbin's new play, but that's what the comic is supposed to represent. In short, it's about journalistic coverage of the war in Iraq. In not-quite-as-short, it's about journalistic coverage of the war in Iraq being fabricated propaganda along the lines of... well, along the lines of Tim Robbin's new play. As far as I know, it's not a musical, but really... why the Hell not? Why not encourage people to whistle his propaganda as they walk down the street? Could he possibly be afraid that people might not take it seriously then? That ship already sailed, buddy. Oh, that's right. It's not "propaganda" it's a "voice of dissent." Well, if you don't mind my saying, "da scent" is about as awful as this pun. Somebody took this idiot's liberalism dial and jacked it up from "We should take care of each other," past "Neo-conservatives invented the Electoral College in 2000" all the way up to "I'm voting for the corpse of Josef Stalin because the Green Party is too far to the right." How anyone can look at the consistantly negative coverage of the war by the major news networks and call it a fantastically rosy picture is beyond me. So basically, Bush has an IQ of 12, but still manages to control all media in the country, but only uses it to make him look pretty bad instead Adolf Hitler bad? Well, color me confused.
